HULL: Every woman's fantasy – an 8ft tower of shoes – has been put up at St Stephen's shopping centre, pictured.
The stack was created to promote the new Schuh store, which is opening at the centre on Saturday.
To mark the opening, Schuh is giving away a free pair of shoes to the first 20 customers who donate to their Sell Your Soles campaign.
Sell Your Soles is charity initiative inviting people to hand in their unwanted shoes until Thursday, April 28.
Those who do not wake early enough to be one of the first 20 through the door can still donate to the Sell Your Soles campaign and get a £10 Schuh voucher instead.
There is no restriction on the number of pairs you can hand in.
The old shoes will be donated to the Newlife Foundation, which will recycle them to raise money to support disabled and terminally-ill children across the UK.
St Stephen's centre manager Jim Harris said: "We know that shoppers will be eager to step inside the new Schuh store.
"But we are also encouraging everyone to bring along their old pairs of shoes to help raise valuable funds for such a worthy cause."
Shoppers are advised to get to the store opening before 9am – at a store opening in Kingston-upon-Thames, shoe-aholics started queuing at 3am.

EAST YORKS: Spring judging for this year's Yorkshire In Bloom has been cancelled due to the cold conditions.
Judges were set to travel across the county from the start of the Easter holidays up to April 12, to assess entries, but the un-seasonal cold weather has hindered their plans.
There are almost 180 entries for 2013 and each is usually judged twice – once in spring and once in summer.
Chairman Brendan Mowforth said: "To my knowledge, Yorkshire In Bloom has never had to cancel a judging period.
"The decision was not made lightly."
This year's decisions will be based on the summer judging, which is from July 1 to 19.
