George Boyd hails Hull City's 1-0 win at Huddersfield

George Boyd hailed Hull City's "biggest result of the season" after his second-half strike secured a 1-0 win at Huddersfield. Man of the match Boyd said: "That's the biggest result of the season. "Obviously the other games went well for us as well. "We're only looking up and it's a massive game for us on Tuesday." Strike partner Jay Simpson, whose through-ball set up the 46th-minute goal, praised his team-mate. He said: "He's been great for is since he came in and he's scored a few too. "We've had a great season and we'll be disappointed if we don't hold on." City boss Steve Bruce said the win would give his team momentum going into Tuesday's crucial promotion clash at home to third-place Watford. Bruce said: "It's vitally important to get the result, it's given us a lift but that's all it is at the moment. "We've taken advantage of people dropping points. But there's still seven games to go and we need to win. "That's what the Championship is all about. There's still a long way to go but today is a big important result for us. "If we can beat Watford and turn them over then we can have a decent advantage over them. It's going to be difficult but it's one we're looking forward to."
