The Met Office has again issued a severe weather warning for Hull and East Yorkshire.
The yellow warning for snow is valid between 9pm on Tuesday night and 9am on Wednesday morning.
Forecasters say Hull is liable to see light snow showers.
More significant snowfalls are expected over higher parts of the county, where 3cm-5cm is possible.
A Met Office spokesman said: "A very cold easterly airstream will continue to bring showers of snow, hail and sleet into parts of eastern Britain.
"As temperatures dip below freezing overnight, further localised accumulations of snow are likely along with some icy surfaces."
