A BRIDLINGTON man has been killed after being hit by four cars as he crossed a road.
Darren Stawman, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the A174 in North Yorkshire, close to the village of Mickleby.
He was hit by an Alfa Romeo 147 at around 8.30pm on Sunday as he crossed at the junction with the B1266.
He was then struck by a grey Nissan X-Trail, black Peugeot 306 and a black Peugeot 407.
Sergeant Hamish Halloway, of North Yorkshire Police's roads policing group, said: "We are doing everything we can to establish the full circumstances surrounding Mr Stawman's tragic death."
Any witnesses are asked to call Des Mooney at North Yorkshire Police on 101.
