Hull City Council are reminding householders that bin collection days over Christmas and New Year will change.
With no collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day, the council have advised the following changes will occur over the holiday period.
Residents with a bin collection due on:
-Tuesday 25 December will be collected on Thursday 27 December
- Wednesday 26 December will be collected on Friday 28 December
- Thursday 27 December will be collected on Saturday 29 December
- Friday 28 December will be collected on Monday 31 December
- Monday 31 December will be collected on Wednesday 2 January
- Tuesday 1 January will be collected on Thursday 3 January
- Wednesday 2 January will be collected on Friday 4 January
- Thursday 3 January will be collected on Saturday 5 January
- Friday 4 January will be collected on Monday 7 January
- Monday 7 January will be collected on Tuesday 8 January
- Tuesday 8 January will be collected on Wednesday 9 January
- Wednesday 9 January will be collected on Thursday 10 January
- Thursday 10 January will be collected on Friday 11 January
- Friday 11 January will be collected on Saturday 12 January
- Normal household collections will resume on Monday 14 January.
Householders can also check all their collection dates on their bin stickers or on the postcode checker on the homepage of the Council's website at www.hullcc.gov.uk.
Any extra recycling and waste can also be taken to the city's household waste recycling centres in Burma Drive, Wiltshire Road and Sutton Fields which will be open daily from 10am to 6pm except on:
Christmas Eve - closes at 4pm
Christmas Day - closed
Boxing Day - closed
New Years Eve - closes at 4pm
New Years Day - closed
The Council is also inviting residents who want to recycle more to order extra free recycling bins by calling 01482 300 300.
