Secondary school pupils in Hull continue to skip classes more than any others in the country.
Figures released by the Department of Education (DfE) show the city once again languishing at the bottom of 152 authorities for truancy.
Primary schools in Hull were the 15th worst for truancy.
By contrast, pupils in East Riding secondary schools have the 11th best record in the country.
Hull was also the eighth worst for the number of persistent truants.
The city had 1,328 pupils regularly skipping school, or 10.4 per cent.
In the East Riding the number of persistent truants was 1,570, which is 8.2 per cent of pupils.
