BEVERLEY teenager Jess Blake had a history of self-harming before she was found dead in woods on the outskirts of the market town.
An inquest at Hull has heard Jess, 14, was referred to social services and mental health professionals after she cut her neck and her arms in the months leading up to her death in August.
She had also made a suicide pact with another teenager, who cannot be named, but died days before carrying out the plan to jump off the Humber Bridge.
Coroner Geoffrey Saul returned a narrative verdict saying Jess had died from hanging. Although he ruled her death had been caused by "her own hand", he said he couldn't return a verdict of suicide because he couldn't be sure of her intent to kill herself.
