ICY conditions and blizzards are causing disruption for motorists in the region.
One lane is blocked westbound on the M62 between junction 38 (A63 North Cave) and junction 37 (A614 Howden) because of two accidents.
There is queuing traffic on the A1174 Hull Road, in Beverley, at the Holme Church Lane junction.
There is also slow traffic on the A63 Castle Street outbound, in Hull, at the A1079 Mytongate junction.
The A1079 Ferensway in Hull is busy but moving.
Brough Primary School is closed for Years 1, 2 and 5, because there is no heating.
The snow is predicted to continue on and off throughout the day, with the temperatures unlikely to reach above freezing.
The snow also forced Hull City Council to cancel the Avenue Ward Forum, due to take place today between 10am and 5pm on the community bus touring the streets.
