HULL City strolled to a comfortable 4-0 win over Hartlepool and extend their winning run to four.
Francis McCaffrey opened and closed the scoring with two first touch finishes with Lewis Clarkson and Andy Dawson providing the other goals.
It was City's second win over Hartlepool this season and in both games they have yet to concede a goal.
With Dawson and Seyi Olofinjana in City's side, the Monkey Hangers were never really in the game with chances few and far between.
City were quickest out of the blocks and deservedly took the lead with their first attack in the fifth minute. Jonathan Margetts found himself in acres of space on the left hand side of Hartlepool's penalty box and weighed up his options.
Instead of going for goal himself, he selflessly rolled the ball into the path of McCaffrey to slot past Adam McHugh in the visitors' net via the left hand post.
McCaffrey's initial reaction suggested he had missed the target but he was a relieved man to see the net ripple.
City had enough first-half chances to seal the points before the break but they were off target all too often.
McCaffrey took too long with a one-on-one opportunity and squandered the chance while Margetts should have troubled the keeper at least instead of poking the ball past the far post just before the interval.
Hartlepool's first decent chance came in the 55th minute but at full stretch, Greg Rutherford was unable to control his shot that sailed high over the bar.
Maybe with a longer jump, he would have troubled Mark Oxley.
City were more clinical after the break and the second goal duly arrived in the 57th minute.
Will Aimson's long ball started the move and was finished in style when Margetts put Lewis Clarkson through and the striker made no mistake to make it 2-0 at a time Hartlepool were finally finding a way into the game.
In the 65th minute, Clarkson forced an excellent save for a corner from which City doubled their advantage.
Veteran defender Dawson hasn't made his career out of scoring headers and maybe that was why he was afforded the space he was in the Hartlepool box as he rose high to power a corner down and into the net past McHugh.
Rutherford had a shot saved by the legs of Oxley who did very well when called upon during a relatively quiet evening.
The closest Hartlepool came to scoring was an excellent Dan Jones strike from 30 yards that rebounded off the left hand post to safety.
A minute later McCaffrey sealed City's win with a tidy finish following excellent work from Ben Gordon on the left.
A 4-0 final scoreline was a true reflection for the Tigers work and industry.
Clarkson and McCaffrey were the pick of the bunch with their three goals while Oxley's never-ending chat kept their shape and more importantly, a clean sheet.
