TRAVIS Burns believes his winning Hull KR debut could prove to be a turning point in their season. Burns made his first outing for the Robins as they handed Warrington a surprise 26-12 defeat at MS3 Craven Park. Playing a big part in the victory alongside Michael Dobson in the halves, the 29-year-old admits he felt under pressure to deliver a second win of the season. But after lifting the Robins into the top eight, the stand-off feels it can act as a catalyst. Burns told the Mail: "Hopefully, we can point to this game later in the season and say this was the turning point. It was a must-win game. "We have a quality team here and we are not getting ahead of ourselves. "Warrington were missing some quality players, but I thought we defended very well. "The forwards were really good considering they'd taken a lot of flak in the week about not standing up. "Our attack was a bit patchy at times but it will come. We are only going to improve." After a dark chapter which saw him banned for 12 games, the former Penrith Panther admitted the pressure was on him to help his team-mates beat Warrington. A first-minute penalty was his only blemish and the usually laid back Aussie was relieved just to be back playing. "I'm not normally a player to get nervous and feel the pressure, but coming off some losses and the fans expecting so much from me I did feel it in the week," he added. "I wasn't happy conceding a penalty with my first act but the pleasing thing was for us to defend the line the way we did. "I've tried to calm my game down and not get in trouble with referees. "I was a bit rusty and my lungs were blowing, but it's my first game in a long time and it's a relief to get it off my shoulders. "We now have a tough road trip to face a London side which beat Salford, who beat us last week, and we know that if we're not on our game, we'll get rolled over."
