Hull KR hooker Lincoln Withers and centre Liam Salter could return to first team action on Sunday night when Rovers travel to Salford City Reds.
Earlier this week, Withers had 18 stitches removed from a forehead wound cause by Justin Poore's boot in the opening seconds of Rovers' 36-20 defeat at Wakefield and missed last week's win over Widnes.
Salter missed the 44-18 victory over the Vikings because of a dead leg and Rovers coach Craig Sandercock is hoping to have him back for the game against Super League's basement side.
If Salter fails to recover in time, Chris Heil is set to continue in his absense at right centre.
Prop Ryan O'Hara has started running following an Achilles injury and could be back in three to four weeks while centre Sean Gleeson is making progress with his back injury but is still ruled out indefinitely.
