Defender Paul McShane is likely to be sidelined for up to three weeks with his hamstring injury, scans have confirmed.
The 27-year-old sustained the muscle strain in the 1-0 win over Charlton on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Sone Aluko looks to be ruled out for the rest of the season.
Steve Bruce admitted it was unlikely he will feature again and is likely to need an operation.
