HULL KR winger Omari Caro says he is delighted to see Rovers finally up and running in Super League following a 44-18 win over Widnes.
And he is confident he and the Robins can build on the success with a second successive victory at Salford this Sunday.
Having lost their opening two games of the campaign to Catalan and Wakefield, the pressure was on KR to produce the goods against the Vikings.
But Caro says it was only a matter of time before KR found their stride, which they did as they blew away the Vikings by running in 34 unanswered first-half points.
"It was just a matter of time before this performance came from us," Caro told the Mail.
"With the new players coming in and the injuries we have had, it took a bit of time to gel.
"We showed in the pre-season friendlies though that we can play, and now that we have players coming back from injuries, it bodes well for us.
"It was good to finally get off the mark and get some points on the board."
Caro helped Rovers get off to the best possible start with a crucial 60-metre break that led to Michael Dobson opening the scoring in the eighth minute.
The former London Broncos wing man then used his blistering speed to burn the Widnes defence for Rovers' second try of the game, establishing a 10-0 lead after 16 minutes.
With two tries in his first three games, Caro has settled into life at KR quickly.
He is already looking capable of becoming one of the stars of the season, and boasting the title of Super League's fastest man, he knows he will be targeted for special attention by opposing defences.
However, Caro says he can cope with being a marked man, and hopes opponents targeting his pace helps bring other KR players into play.
"I hope I don't get extra attention, but if I do it means that someone else will get a chance to score," he said,
"If that happens and I don't score but we win, I don't mind at all.
"It has been so far, so good for me this season.
"It wasn't the best at Wakefield but I thought I could score against Widnes and that got my confidence up.
"Hopefully, there will be more to come."
If Caro fancied his chances against Widnes, he'll be expecting to score this Sunday against a Salford City Reds side which is struggling already.
They have already conceded 22 tries in just three matches to leave them bottom of Super League.
Caro knows if Rovers can build some momentum early and play the way they did against Widnes, then back-to-back wins can be achieved.
"If we can play against Salford the way we did in the first half against Widnes, for 80 minutes, then I'm confident we can win," he said.
"We were on the receiving end against Catalan and Wakefield when they each got on a roll.
"We know what we can do when we have momentum.
"We showed on Sunday that when we have the ball and have a fair share of possession, we can score plenty of points."
