HUNDREDS are expected to attend the funeral of Ellie Mowforth, from Cottingham, this morning.
Ellie died on Sunday, January 20, aged six, from a rare brain tumour.
Her plight touched the lives of thousands, including well-wishers as far away as America.
Ellie's funeral will be held at 11am at St Mary's Church in Cottingham, before a private burial service.
John and Lisa Mowforth, who took her to Lapland before Christmas with the charity When You Wish Upon A Star, say they will continue their daughter's legacy.
The couple have asked the Mail to attend the service and a full report, serving as a tribute to Ellie, will be published in tomorrow's newspaper.
