Hull KR coach Chris Chester admits he is undecided who will start the season at full-back and is delighted to have quality options available to him.

Chester has three players vying for the position as their season gets underway against Leeds Rhinos on February 8.

Ben Cockayne, who played there in place of Greg Eden last season, has Kieran Dixon, Ken Sio and youngster Josh Guzdek battling for the spot.

Dixon has been handed squad number one, which could be a clue as to who Chester will plump for.

Cockayne is set to miss both friendlies at Hull and Warrington, but Sio and Guzdek will get the chance to impress Chester.

"We have options at full-back that we need to look at," Chester told the Mail.

"Kieran did okay there against Halifax and will be better with better players around him.

"We have Ben, Josh and Ken who can play there.

"I'm 50/50 at who's going to start the season there.

"We should have an indication when we play Warrington, where I will go with my strongest 18 or 19 players.

"If they play in that game, then they must have done something right in the first two friendlies."

Chester admits there are still a couple of places up for grabs for the Leeds opener going into the final two friendlies.

"If someone stands out in the friendlies then they have a chance," he added.

"I'm pretty confident I know my squad for the Leeds opener.

"I've got my starting 13 in my mind but we have to be mindful of injuries."
