TOMMY Coyle says his drive to succeed has reached new limits since finding out he is going to be a father for the first time.
Coyle and his fiancee Holly are expecting a baby boy later this year, with the 25-year-old announcing his news this week.
It means a massive year for the IBF International lightweight champion is now set to become even bigger.
Coyle will make his first appearance of 2015 in Hull on March 7 when he takes on former British champion Martin Gethin.
Victory is crucial if he is to remain on course to then meet friend and now rival Luke Campbell in the summer in arguably the biggest fight ever seen in Hull.
The significance of what this year will bring is not lost on Coyle, who says he's now got the greatest reason of all to work even harder.
"It's all changed for me now in why I'm doing this, it's about providing for my son and that's the best motivation," Coyle told the Mail.
"We are thrilled with the news and what was already going to be a massive year for me has now become even greater.
"I always train as hard as anyone and am totally focused, that doesn't change.
"What changes is the thought of why I am doing it all."
Coyle is already in camp as he prepares for his clash with Gethin in Hull.
The 31-year-old cancelled a planned WBO European title bout to take on Coyle, insisting to his manager he preferred the opportunity to take on Coyle in his hometown.
With a bout with Campbell pencilled in next, providing the Olympic star comes through safely against Gary Sykes on the same March bill, Gethin knows victory over Coyle will elevate him back into the mix among the top lightweights in Britain.
"He's had a few losses recently, but you look who he has lost to in Terry Flanagan when he was forced to retire, plus he had a split decision loss to Derry Mathews. This is another massive fight and a massive occasion.
"I know I'm going to have to bring my best if I am to win.
"People keep asking about the fight with Luke, but I can't look any further than Gethin.
"I've been in camp a while, I'm already in great shape and sparring is going well. So I know I'll be ready."
