HULL City's hopes of landing Yaya Sanogo appear to be over after the Arsenal striker opened talks with Crystal Palace today.
City boss Steve Bruce admitted his interest in signing the 21-year-old last week but relegation rivals Palace have stepped in with a loan offer of their own.Sky Sports report that Sanogo was at the Eagles training ground on Monday lunchtime and is expected to complete a move across the capital imminently.
Sanogo had been high on the Tigers' wish-list this month along with Toronto and England striker Jermain Defoe as Bruce attempts to add firepower to his injury-hit attack.
As well as missing Sone Aluko (calf) and Abel Hernandez (groin) for the remainder of this month, City are fearing a lay-off for top goalscorer Nikica Jelavic.
The Croatian forward went for scans on the knee injury suffered in the 1-0 loss at West Brom and the Tigers are set to provide updates on the injury tomorrow.
