ARMED police were called to Gee Street in west Hull this morning.
Officers were called to the street just before 11am.
Neighbours told the Mail how they heard a commotion in the street and dogs barking.
The Humberside Police Command Centre tweeted: "Police incident ongoing in Gee Street which is closed, please avoid the area if possible or follow the officers instructions at the scene."
The street was closed for an hour while officers dealt with the incident.
It reopened at about 12pm.
Police would not confirm any further details to the Mail.
