HULL's very own superhero has been delivering Christmas gifts to homeless people in the city centre today (Saturday).
Simon Moreton, otherwise known as Hull Batman, took to the streets dressed as Father Christmas to deliver presents and food.
Mr Moreton, from east Hull, created the Hull Batman character a year ago to help raise funds for diabetes charities.
The gas engineer has since worked closely with the charity Hull Homeless Outreach to distribute food and clothes around the city.
This morning, Mr Moreton filled his Santa sack with homemade sandwiches, bottles of water and a collection of hats and gloves.
He said: "I just wanted to spread a bit of Christmas cheer to people who are alone on the streets and might struggle to stay warm and get enough food.
"A lot of these people who are living on the streets have mental health problems or are vulnerable in some way and they need all the help they can get."
