A MAN was punched to the ground by robbers who took his wallet and keys.
The man was walking to the shops when he was attacked close to The National pub in National Avenue, west Hull, at 5.05am today (Tuesday).
Police say he was approached by an man who threatened him and demanded he handed over his mobile phone and money.
When he said no, the man punched him several times, knocking him to the ground.
The victim managed to get to his feet but a second man approached and joined in with the attack before taking the victim's wallet and keys.
The two offenders then ran away and are believed to have entered a vehicle before leaving the area.
One of the suspects was described as a white man, who was aged between 34 and 37 years old. He was about 5ft 4ins tall and of medium build.
He was wearing a black sports jacket.
Police said there is no description of the second offender.
