CELTIC have been desperate to tie down Manchester City's Swedish striker John Guidetti on a permanent deal after his explosive start to life at Celtic Park.
The 22-year-old has scored 10 goals in 11 appearances in all competition for Ronny Deila's side, prompting the Scottish champions to act quickly in securing his signature.
However TalkSport has revealed Guidetti is stalling on signing for Celtic, and that could be down to reported interest from Hull City. The Scottish Express has reported that the Tigers have expressed an interest in the striker and would be able to offer the forward Premier League football.
Guidetti, who has also spent time on loan at Stoke City and Feyenoord, is a free agent in the summer and could be available for as little as £2m in the January transfer window. Stats show City inviting the pressure on themselves
AFTER so many positive displays this season, many at Hull City are at a loss to explain why the Tigers are languishing so low in the Premier League table.
But perhaps a few statistics, courtesy of whoscored.com, explain where the problems lie.
No team in the Premier League has conceded more shots on goal per game than City, who have an average of allowing 17.6 efforts every game – something that indicates City are rarely the dominant force in their matches.
The Tigers are also top of the league table when it comes to interceptions (18.6 per game), blocks (6.3 per game) and clearances (43.8), suggesting that Steve Bruce's defence deal with far too much pressure every game.
It probably comes as no surprise though, given that City's average rate of possession – 45.8 per cent – is the fifth lowest in the league. United defender Evans hopes for end to freak injuries ahead of Tigers clash
MANCHESTER United defender Jonny Evans has admitted he's at a loss to explain the club's injury troubles.
United have found themselves missing up to 12 first-team players for matches this season, and have had four defenders out during November, including Evans.
The Northern Ireland international made his comeback for the reserves on Tuesday night and is in line to face Hull City this weekend.
But Evans told the official club website there is not much more the club can do to avoid their injury woes.
"It's hard to say – we don't want any more injuries but what can we do about it?
"They're freak injuries and it's difficult from that point of view. It'd be nice to get settled in the team – everyone in the squad wants to get settled in their position as well."Man United's Falcao receiving special treatment to ensure he makes Hull City clash
ANOTHER player the fans will be happy to see back is Radamel Falcao.
And it's clear the United players are pretty chuffed to see him back in the fold too.
The Colombian striker was back in training this week and was carried back onto the training pitch by his team-mates Ander Herrera and Anderson, who are clearly doing all they can to make sure there are no setbacks for the Monaco loanee ahead of Hull City's visit this weekend.
