AN ENGINEER has suffered minor burns after a fire broke out above Lloyds Pharmacy on King Street, Cottingham.
A Humberside Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said gas engineers were fitting a new boiler in unused offices above the pharmacy when the fire broke out.
She confirmed three appliances had been sent to the scene, but the fire had already been extinguished before they arrived.
The spokeswoman said: "There was some issue that caused the fire to break out but this was contained to the boiler cupboard."
The injured man was treated by paramedics at the scene.
