A woman's body has been discovered in a lake at Oak Road Playing Fields in north Hull today.Police confirmed the news to the Mail this afternoon following a search of the area which began on Sunday.
The woman is believed to be in her eighties and her death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesman for Humberside Police said: "At around 10.40am today, Humberside Police discovered the body of a woman in the lake at Oak Road Playing Fields in Hull.
"The body of the woman has been removed from the water and taken to the mortuary.
"A file is being prepared for the coroner."
