HDM Sport on Facebook Of all the Hull City stars in international action this weekend, few received more praise than James Chester. The 25-year-old started at the heart of Chris Coleman's defence as Wales held on a for an impressive point against Belgium, drawing 0-0 in Brussels. The Daily Mail were quick to lead with their praise for the City centre-back, saying: "The 25-year-old was outstanding alongside Swansea's Ashley Williams as the Welsh held Group B favourites Belgium to a goalless draw in Brussels. "Chester gave the ball away only twice in 90 minutes and made nine clearances– including one that turned Adnan Januzaj's dangerous cross away from the goal line." There was similar praise from BBC pundit and former Wales international Robbie Savage. The former Leicester City and Birmingham midfielder stated just before the full-time whistle that: "He has been absolutely sensational, James Chester, back there for Wales. "I think he has been the man of the match from a defensive point of view." And the praise kept on coming from the rest of Monday's papers. The Independent hailed the performance of Wales' centre-backs, stating: "(Ashley Williams and James Chester refused to be daunted by the challenge, regularly winning the high balls and cajoling those around them in yellow to keep their concentrations levels high." And in the Mirror there was praise from Ashley Williams for his centre-back partner after securing the point. Williams said: "James and I have really come on together as a partnership. "I've a good understanding with him and he's really calm and collected." Dudgeon eyeing promotion with Barnsley Hull City loanee Joe Dudgeon is one of a handful of players who are experiencing an upturn in fortunes away from the KC Stadium at the moment. Along with the likes of Conor Townsend and Maynor Figueroa, Dudgeon has been a key figure in helping Barnsley in their pursuit of promotion back to the Championship. The Reds made it three victories in a row at the weekend after beating Colchester 3-2 and Dudgeon said his side have hit a purple patch of form. "We're on a roll at the minute, everything seems to be clicking," Dudgeon told the Sheffield Star. "The stuff that wasn't going for us in the past has started to, so hopefully we keep playing this way. "It's been positive and we want to keep moving on from these wins - and getting some more wins. "We'll look at the two goals we conceded [against Colchester], but the victory is the most important thing, and we've been getting them. "I think things can only be positive from here."Tottenham protests could make way to KCTottenham fans are planning protests against the sides proposed temporary move to Milton Keynes at their next two home matches. But the stickers and leaflets being distributed could also make an appearance next weekend at the KC Stadium when Spurs travel north to face Hull. It will be the first game since the announcement of the protests, which were covered in today's Daily Telegraph, and could see Spurs fail to avoid the hostile atmosphere which players say have been hindering their performances at White Hart Lane. Young Tigers compete in Christmas Truce TournamentHull City's Under-12s have enjoyed a cultural weekend at the Christmas Truce tournament in Ypres. The youngsters laid wreathes at the Menin Gate Last Post ceremony on the Friday before taking part in a tournament along with all other 19 Premier League sides. Unfortunately, they were unable to get out of their group alongside West Ham, Aston Villa, Everton and Chelsea. The tournament was eventually won by Chelsea.
