UPDATED: POLICE and coastguard teams searched a lake in Oak Road playing fields, north Hull today in what is thought to be a missing persons inquiry.
Officers with search sticks searched the banks of the fishing lake at the sprawling parkland and playing fields off Beverley Road.
HM Coastguard search and rescue teams are also in attendance at the playing fields, known locally as Beresford Park.
It is understood the search by specialist officers followed concerns over a possible missing person.
Earlier reports from the scene suggested a body may have been found but Humberside Police were expected to give an update on the incident on Monday morning.
The search concentrated around the one-hectare lake which is popular with anglers.
