CHRISTMAS came early to Hull city centre today as thousands poured onto the streets to enjoy a giant Santa parade.
Huge crowds cheered on Father Christmas, his little helpers and Frozen stars Princesses Elsa and Anna and snowman Olaf as they made their way through the city.
The parade began at Hull New Theatre at 11am, including 15 vintage minis with drivers dressed as reindeers, before making its way to Princes Quay - where Santa's Grotto awaited.
Annabelle Wright, 6, from North Hull, said: "I can't believe how many people are here.
"My favourite person was Princess Elsa. I have watched Frozen about 100 times. It is my favourite film ever."
Also in the parade were mascots from Hull City, Hull KR, Hull FC and Hull Stingrays.
A moving Jack Frost sculpture also featured as well as grown men hopping around dressed as bunnies.
Mum-of-two Sarah Dooke, 40, said: "I brought my family along and it has exceeded all expectations.
"We have had a fantastic time, especially my children."
Inside Princes Quay, hundreds gathered to catch another glimpse of Santa and dance to festive tunes.
Abigail Taylor, who manages Rasa Sayang Hair and Beauty, said: "We can't believe how many people have turned up. It is absolutely amazing."See pictures from today's parade
