NOTTINGHAM Forest look set to battle it out with a host of Championship clubs in their bid to sign Hull City winger Tom Ince.
The 22-year-old is currently out of favour in the Tigers line-up, having failed to establish himself thus far in the Premier League.
Tigers officials and Forest are known to have agreed terms in principle to take Ince to the City Ground, but they face stiff competition from the likes of Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday, according to The Sun.
However, that's not stopped Forest striker Britt Assombalonga telling the Nottingham Post he hopes Ince will provide the promotion-hopefuls with a lift.
"The manager knows what he is doing, he will know the right players to bring in and the kind of players we don't need to bring to the club," said Assombalonga.
"It (Ince's loan) might give us a lift. At the end of the day sometimes you have to take a chance on something, to see if it does give you a boost.
"He is a good player, I can't say anything else, because he is a good player.
"Time will tell what happens, but if he comes in it will be a good thing. It is up to the manager what he wants to do. He knows what is best for the club."Fulham look to poach Bruce if contract talks stall
NOPE, we don't know where the rumours came from either, but Steve Bruce's link with the managerial role at Fulham is gathering pace – if you believe today's red-tops.The Sun says the Cottagers are ready to swoop for the Tigers boss should contract talks at the KC Stadium continue to stall.
It's probably no secret Bruce wants to remain with Hull City, having developed a strong side throughout his tenure to cope with the demands of the Premier League. However, a new deal has yet to be thrashed out.
The paper say Fulham owner Shahid Khan is flying in from his American base to sort out the vacancy left by Felix Magath, and report he would offer Bruce a bumper deal – which includes a promotion bonus and also pay compensation to take him to the Championship strugglers.
I'd take these reports with a pinch of salt, though, with Bruce and his family settled in Yorkshire and club sources saying there's nothing in the rumours. The Times even rate Bruce as 3/10 to get the boot, which isn't much at all really.
And the Evening Standard reports Bruce has no interest in becoming the new Fulham manager. Let's put this one to bed.Simon certain to leave AS Trencin – for the Tigers?MOSES Simon remains on Hull City's radar, months after facing the Tigers playing for AS Trencin in the Europa League.ESPN say Steve Bruce is still interested in the Nigerian forward, but Tottenham and Liverpool are also tracking the 19-year-old.
Trencin actually have a bit of a knack in producing quality players – the Reds' Martin Skrtel is just one of their famous graduates.
However, their head coach believes he may be due to lose another of his top players to a top English club, saying Simon 'has outgrown the Slovakian league already'.
"As a coach, I would like to have him for a long time, but if he decides to change clubs at some point we won't stop him," Sevela said.Diame darts into sixth position in fastest player list
