Hull City begin up to eight weeks without top goalscorer Sone Aluko at Peterborough this afternoon.
The 23-year-old was diagnosed as having suffered a tear in his Achilles on Tuesday and will not play again until March.
However, manager Steve Bruce will be able to call on a trio of players absent from the midweek FA Cup win at Leyton Orient.
Robbie Brady and David Meyler were both ineligible for the third round replay at Brisbane Road and will go straight back into the starting XI today.
The same fate awaits Robert Koren after he shook off a minor heel injury to travel with the squad.
Bruce will also welcome back David Stockdale into his ranks after the widely-anticipated loan deal from Fulham was confirmed yesterday. He replaces Eldin Jakupovic, who will drop to the bench.
Aluko's absence will leave a hole in the City attack. Bruce is expected to either go with Koren in behind Jay Simpson, or give both Simpson and Proschwitz a chance with Koren in midfield.Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson will be without influential defender and captain Gabriel Zakuani.
The Posh's star centre-back is currently on duty at the African Cup of Nations with Congo, but Ferguson is again likely to deploy a three-man defence to match today's visitors.
The shape has worked well for Boro and January signing Scott Wootton, on loan from Manchester United, fills the boots of Zakuani.
Peterborough will also be without playmaker Lee Tomlin.
The 23-year-old was dismissed in the final game of 2012 and following an unsuccessful appeal, he is serving a three-match ban.
Tomlin's place in the side may again go to another United loanee, Davide Petrucci, in a support role behind attacking revelation Dwight Gayle.
Peterborough reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of today's game but should Ferguson opt for change after last weekend's loss at Nottingham Forest, Grant McCann could come into midfield.
