A £2,000 reward is being offered in a bid to find a stolen East Yorkshire party bus. Andy Lane, the owner of the stolen 16-seater purple party bus, is appealing for help to find the vehicle and has offered the reward for any information that leads to its discovery. The bus is believed to have been stolen from a secure unit in Hutton Cranswick in the early hours of yesterday morning. Mr Lane, who runs the Yorkshire Party Bus company, has reported the theft to police, but is also asking the people of East Yorkshire to be on the lookout. Mr Lane said he thought the bus may have been taken to Hull Docks. He said he suspects two men, who came to view the bus after seeing it for sale on eBay, may be responsible. Mr Lane said: "Please be assured this is not an insurance job. "The vehicle is on eBay for sale and I suspect two men who came to view last week have arranged the theft after asking about the tracker and probably came for a look at the building and how the bus works, etc. You couldn't start the bus without being shown how. "The mobile they used is now dead." Mr Lane states the men arrived to look at the vehicle in a 2014-plate black Audi A7. He describes both men as white and about 50 years old. The party bus has no insurance, MoT or tax, as it was put up for sale and awaiting a new owner. Mr Lane: "We have CCTV from about 1am on Tuesday night, when the bus was driven off towards Driffield. "I suspect it's going abroad or in hiding for a bit, as it's too rare a vehicle to be used in the UK again." The party bus was built with inward-facing limousine leather-style seats, wireless karaoke, a large television, disco lights and tinted windows. It was often used to transport groups to various venues across the country, including Leeds, Blackpool, Liverpool and Newcastle. Anyone with information about the theft of the bus should call police on 101 or Mr Lane on 07595 512433.
