Humberside Police are urging a taxi driver to come forward after a cyclist suffered serious head injuries in an accident in Willerby.
It is believed the 56-year-old man, from Cottingham, fell from his bike in Willerby Low Road after a red bag he was carrying became tangled in one of his wheels.
The accident happened at about 4.30pm yesterday.
Officers say the driver of a silver taxi may have witnessed the accident.
PC Steve Young said: "This incident happened at the time of school runs and the taxi driver could be from either side of the Humber Bridge.
"I would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened."
Anyone who can help is asked to call Humberside Police on 101, referring to log 438 of October 21.
