New Hull KR half-back Albert Kelly has all the attributes to be a Super League star, if he can rediscover his best form.
The 23-year-old started last season in great shape at Gold Coast Titans, before an injury-hit spell saw him lose his place and he featured in just 10 matches.
Having joined the Robins on a two-year deal from 2015, along with fellow Titans half-back Maurice Blair, he will be looking to kick-start his career in east Hull.
According to Brad Ricks, deputy sports editor at the Gold Coast Bulletin, the play-maker has the quality to lead Rovers to a top-eight finish if he can shake off his fitness issues.
"In open space, Kelly is a freak with incredible footwork," he told the Mail.
"Kelly is the pick of the two signings and has incredible talent, but this season he has had problems with injuries.
"He is an organising half-back who is a fantastic game-breaker. He is a super talent and was first choice at the Titans last season.
"He has the attributes to be a modern day full-back and was in such great form that he was close to playing in the City v Country Origin game. He was on the cusp of that but then picked up an injury and missed out.
"If he stays fit and healthy he can be sensational."
Blair, who played 15 games for the Titans in 2014, is known for being a better defender after initially playing as a centre.
An NRL Grand Final winner from his time at Melbourne Storm, Rovers are expecting big things from his kicking game and Ricks believes he will not let anyone down.
"Blair is a more solid player if not spectacular," he said. "He is more of a settling influence.
"He was signed as a centre and made the move to half-back, but he can more than hold his own in defence.
"He will be a good signing."
