Hull KR have confirmed the capture of Lezignan hooker John Boudebza on a one-year deal, with the option of a second year.
The 24-year-old becomes the ninth signing for next season as Rovers look for a top-eight finish in Chris Chester's first full season in charge.
Currently on duty with the French national side in the European Championship, Boudebza will join up with his new team-mates next month.
He will be the second Frenchman in the Rovers squad, with Kevin Larroyer already settled in to life in east Hull.
And Chester believes Boudebza can play a big part in his team if he works hard in pre-season.
"John knows it will be a big challenge and that he will have to earn a chance to play in the side but he has backed himself by coming over here," he said.
Boudebza's signing won't end Rovers' search for a more experienced hooker to replace Josh Hodgson, who will start for England against Samoa in Saturday's Four Nations opener in Brisbane.
