Hull City defender James Chester is loving life as an international footballer as prepares to win a first Wales cap on home soil this evening.
After making his debut away to Holland in June and retaining his place for last month's 2-1 win in Andorra, Chester is expected to win a third cap when Wales host Bosnia-Herzogvina in their Euro 2016 qualifier tonight.
The fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium continues Chester's introduction to a new stage of his career and he said: "I'm really enjoying it. Every time the opportunity comes around I'm looking forward to it more and more.
"Getting to know all the lads and earning their respect, that's all part of it.
"It took a couple of times of us meeting up to feel comfortable. I didn't know any of the lads and all I could do was to earn their respect through playing.
"I wanted to come and play international football to come up against some of the best players in Europe and that's the reason why I'm looking forward to it so much."
Chester certainly has happy memories of the Cardiff City Stadium. In March 2012, he scored the best goal of his career in a 3-0 victory for the Tigers, putting the finishing touch on a sweeping move, while in February of this year he helped City canter to an emphatic 4-0 win there.
Tonight's clash with Bosnia-Herzogvina will see Chester tasked with keeping Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko under wraps in what could be a pivotal meeting in Group B.
Bosnia lost 2-1 to Cyprus in their opening game and victory for Wales tonight could send them clear of a nation that many expected to trail group favourites Belgium. The top two countries automatically qualify for the finals, while the side finishing third will go into a play-off scenario.
Wales had to do it the hard way in their opening win against Andorra when Gareth Bale's brace overcame the plucky minnows late on, but with the visit of Cyprus following that of Bosnia next week, hopes are high that Chris Coleman's men can reach a major tournament for the first time since 1958.
"There's a real feeling of belief that we can qualify for the Euros," said Chester.
"The larger number of teams makes that easier but we've got a good group of players coming together now.
"Three points, although we only just got it, was massive with the way the other results went our way.
"Now it's two games for us at home and hopefully we can take advantage of those."
Nikica Jelavic is also in line to feature in Euro 2016 qualification this evening when his Croatia side travel to Bulgaria, while Tom Ince is in the England under-21s fold for their play-off with Croatia at Molineux.
Further afield, Mohamed Diame will be in African Cup of Nations action when Senegal host Tunisia.
Abel Hernandez and Gaston Ramirez, meanwhile, will be part of a Uruguay side that travels to Saudi Arabia for a friendly.
