HULL Wasps have had to postpone their opening home game of the new basketball season, which was scheduled for tomorrow.
Unfortunately, technical issues with the baskets at their Ennerdale home, in east Hull, means the clash against Leeds Allerton Force will not now go ahead as planned.
Chairman Dave Bushnell said: "This is the first time we've had to postpone a game in the six years we've operated as a club.
"Everyone behind the scenes at the club has worked very hard over the past few months to get our new season underway. To have this problem at the last minute is disappointing but unfortunately it's out of our control.
"We'll do everything we can to make sure we're back up and running again, ready for the next game in two weeks' time."
The cancellation means their next game will be against Newcastle ULC Knights on October 18 (6pm start).
