An update of people convicted and sentenced in the courts in Hull and the East Riding.Stephen Allen, 28, of Church Cottage, Church Lane, Kirk Ella, was jailed for 14 weeks and must pay £100 compensation for a domestic violence assault by beating. He must pay £300 costs.Ian Midgley, 39, of Manor House Farm, North Newbald, was banned from driving for two years and fined £900 for drink-driving and failing to stop after an accident in which damage was caused to another vehicle. There was no separate penalty for failing to report an accident. He must pay £85 costs and a £54 surcharge.Paul Hudson, 54, of Sheriff Highway, Hedon, was fined £400 and banned from driving for 12 months for failing to provide a blood sample when suspected of committing a driving offence. He must pay £85 costs and a £40 surcharge.Jamie-Lee Guffick, 21, of Regis Court, Bilton Grange, east Hull, must do 100 hours of unpaid work and comply with an 18-month community order for stealing two bottles of alcohol and a plant, worth £84.98, from Morrisons, stealing a Panasonic Sound Bar, Beats Headphones, a pack of black towels, socks, a short- sleeved top, and briefs, worth £205.50, from Asda Living, stealing a £35 fish tank from Pets At Home and breaching a community order. She must pay £86 costs and a £60 surcharge.Richard Wilson, 28, of Travis Road, Cottingham, was fined £10 and must undergo 12 months of mental health treatment for stealing ten cans of Stella Artois from Asda, stealing cigarettes worth £4.51 from Co-op and committing an offence while subject to a conditional discharge. He must pay a £60 surcharge.Tammy Young, 38, of Blackthorn Lane, Willerby, was discharged conditionally for six months for using threatening words or behaviour. She must pay £100 costs and a £15 surcharge.Michael Campbell, 24, of Abingdon Garth, Bransholme, was jailed for 20 weeks for breaching a restraining order. He must pay an £80 victim surcharge.
