Armed police have descended on a property in Beverley Road, west Hull.
Police were called to the property, next to Beverley Road Police Station, shortly before 4.45pm today.
A police officer at the scene told the Mail a man had suffered abdominal injuries.
Five police cars, about ten officers, including armed officers, could be seen outside a block of buildings next to the police station.
The road is not closed.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police are in attendance following a call for service at 4.43pm to an incident on Beverley Road, Hull.
"The ambulance service is also in attendance following reports that a man has sustained an injury.
