HULL FC owner Adam Pearson has revealed the club are making plans to build an indoor training facility.

The Black and Whites are in negotiations to take over the current indoor golf centre at their Elite Training Centre base at YPI on Chanterlands Avenue.

With recent cold winters disrupting training for Super League clubs across the country, Hull are eager to give themselves an advantage in terms of their training facilities.

"We are very happy with the facility at YPI and we are trying to get an indoor area there," said Pearson.

"It has been going on for a while now.

"The weather is getting worse every year and we really need an indoor facility, so we are trying to get that sorted out.

"We are going to try and continue to invest in YPI and make it as good as possible."

Hull swapped Brantingham Park for their Chanterlands Avenue home at the start of pre-season for the 2012 campaign and with Pearson's backing immediately set about investing in the ground, home to Hull RUFC.

Installing video rooms, a renovated gymnasium, massage rooms and treatment rooms, Pearson has already invested heavily in the training ground at YPI.

The ambitious owner now wants to convert the large building next to the clubhouse and gym so Hull can boast an indoor facility that would allow the team to continue with field sessions during the winter months.

The cold weather in the past week has already disrupted training for the Black and Whites, who have in the past utilised the 3G pitches at Hull University and Bishop Burton.
