Hundreds of people are expected to attend a charity football match in memory of murdered Hull father Steven Herbert on Sunday (September 28).

The father-of-two was killed at the junction of Trafalgar Street and Beverley Road at about 6am on New Year's Day.

Tiffany Clark, 23, Soul Humphries, 22, and Samuel Jordan, 22, were found guilty of his murder in July following a two-and-a-half week trial at Hull Crown Court.

On Sunday, friends of Steven and former football teammates will unite to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

The Steven Herbert Cup will be played at Dene Park in Dunswell.

Jamie Brown, who will play in the match, said: "Steven was one of my best mates back in the day.

"He used to play for North Hull Tigers and I am sure it will be an emotional occasion for everyone."

The game kicks off at 1pm. Further details are available on the Steven Herbert Cup Facebook page.
