An update of people convicted and sentenced in the courts in Hull and the East Riding.Ian Vine, 41, of Tonbridge Grove, east Hull, was fined £240 and must comply with a 12-month community order, including nine days of "alcohol activity", for assault by beating. He must pay £60 costs and a £24 surcharge.Kevin Gardham, 45, of Lonsdale Street, west Hull, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for failing to comply with a police officer's direction to leave Bean Street, west Hull, and not return within 26 hours and 40 minutes, to reduce the risk of alcohol-related crime or disorder, and for failing to surrender to custody. He must pay £85 costs and a £15 surcharge.Kristian Hutchinson, 28, of 10th Avenue, north Hull, was fined £110 for using threatening words or behaviour. He must pay a £20 surcharge.Paul McMurray, 30, of Waterloo Street, west Hull, was fined £40 for using threatening words or behaviour. He must pay a £20 surcharge.Nathan Nolan, 21, of Bannister Street, Withernsea, was fined £250 and must pay £120 compensation for causing racially aggravated damage to a window belonging to Prego's takeaway in Withernsea. He must pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.Andrew Smith, 21, of Raglan Street, west Hull, must comply with a 12-month community order for stealing sandwiches and wine, worth £33.96, from Tesco. He was fined £35 for stealing fragrances worth £153.49 from Boots. He must pay £260 compensation for destroying a wardrobe, television, blinds, a door, and a mirror.Thomas Ordinas, 29, of Queensgate Street, west Hull, must do 250 hours of unpaid work for possessing 29,600 cigarettes on which duty had not been paid with intent to defraud HM Customs and Excise. He must pay £85 costs and a £60 surcharge.Craig Collinson, 23, of The Crossings, Great Union Street, east Hull, was fined £200 and must pay £6.40 compensation for failing to pay the rail fare between Hull and Beverley. He must pay £150 prosecution costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
