FOR the first time in a long time, Hull City now have a striker who will strike fear into opposition defences.
Abel Hernandez travelled half way round the world in time to make his debut against West Ham and produced a brilliant performance.
Hernandez is capable of scoring 15 to 18 goals for City this season, if he stays fit.
He will thrive on the chances created for him by the men out wide like Ahmed Elmohamady and Andrew Robertson who gave a good supply on Monday night.
He was partnered up front with Nikica Jelavic, but I think there is still work to be done if it is to be the first-choice partnership for Steve Bruce.
There were a few glimpses between the two, but I'm sure Bruce will be working with different combinations in training to see which will work best.
That could be Sone Aluko or Yannick Sagbo, we'll just have to wait and see.

And his follow-up effort from outside the box that came off the bar showed why he has a good goalscoring record for Uruguay.
Imagine how good he will be when he has a full week of training with his new team-mates behind him and he knows more about them and they know what he prefers.
He could be a formidable weapon for City this season and at £10m he could be the bargain signing of the season.
He must be licking his lips at the prospect of the amount of good crosses coming his way.
I'm delighted for him getting off the mark because you don't want the anxiety growing the longer you go without a goal.
