HE IS normally seen on the touchlines intently watching his Hull City players.

But a spoof online account instead shows the Tigers' manager Steve Bruce as a rather surprising wedding guest.

Depicting the City boss popping out of a wedding cake, joining a conga and throwing shapes on the dancefloor, Steve Bruce at Weddings is proving an online hit.

In one picture he is seen partying alongside the Royal family, while another shows him dancing with pop sensation Justin Bieber.

In just one month since the account was set up, it has attracted more than 12,000 followers.

The man who set the Twitter account up, a Queen's Park Rangers fan who asked not to be identified, says he has been surprised by its success.

"I came up with the idea during the first game of this season when I was watching Rangers and Hull at Loftus Road," he said.

"Steve was wearing a suit and I thought he looked like the father of a bride at 11pm during a wedding. And it just went from there.

"I only did it for a bit of fun and it seems to be going pretty well. The idea is for people to have a bit of a laugh. I have had some decent feedback."

However, he says the account may not have much longevity.

"I hope to keep it going for as long as I can but I am sure the novelty will wear off at some point," he says.

"There is only so much Steve Bruce can do at a wedding."

The creator lives in Middlesex, 200 miles from the KC Stadium.

Although his priority is keeping an eye on QPR's results, he said he has been following the fortunes of Hull City since starting the account – including the news of owner Assem Allam's decision to sell the club if a bid to change its name to Hull Tigers fails.

"I think the fact City are now out of the Europa League is actually a blessing," he said.

"Outside of the usual 'big guns' I reckon Hull are probably the best of the rest. They will finish in around eighth spot.

"But it is a real shame the club is up for sale. It seemed as though everything was in place for the club to do well at Premier League level.

"The owner has thrown his toys out of the pram over the proposed name change.

"In my opinion, football is all about tradition and I am glad Hull will remain as Hull City."

Hull City declined to comment on the Twitter account.
