Our Hull City reporter Philip Buckingham casts an eye over Hull City players' performances in their 2-2 draw with West Ham at the KC. The game saw debuts for new Hull City signings Abel Hernandez, Hatem Ben Arfa, Gaston Ramirez and Mohamed Diame.

Allan McGregor Magnificent reflexes kept out Sakho and that proved to be a crucial intervention as City soon took the lead. Won't enjoy replays of West Ham's second though. 6Ahmed Elmohamady Provided a pinpoint cross for Hernandez to score and his adventure down the right was typically troubling. His work-rate remains an example to others. 7Michael Dawson The defender looked much more assured on his home debut. The back four was more to his suiting but allowed Valencia to find space to rifle in equaliser. 7Curtis Davies City's captain began a new partnership with Dawson and the results were encouraging. Unfortunate to turn Sakho's weak shot into his own net. 7Andy Robertson Shook off any lingering concerns over calf injury with another lively performance. Had to curb his attacking instincts at times but caused difficulties all night. 7Tom Huddlestone The natural fit in a midfield four saw him anchoring and inviting others to press on. His influence on the game ebbed and flowed as West Ham pressed. 6Jake Livermore Others around him enjoyed a greater influence on the game but went about his duties diligently. Not one to shirk tracking back for the Tigers. 6Mohamed Diame The new £3.5m midfielder gave a tidy introduction to his new fans amid jeers from the visitors, but he had the last laugh with a wonderful debut goal. 7Stephen Quinn Earned his start on merit and justified it with an energetic showing on the left of a diamond. Good use of the ball but removed for the final third. 6Abel HernandezStarman The dream Premier League debut for the £10m man. Magnificent downward header opened the scoring and only the underside of the crossbar denied him again. 8Nikica Jelavic Denied a third goal of the season correctly by the assistant referee's flag when turning in Hernandez's shot against the bar. Not his night 6Subs benchRobbie Brady (for Quinn 59) Worked Adrian with a low finish when cutting in off the left during a lively performance. 6Hatem Ben Arfa (for Diame 78) A brief cameo for the Frenchman and he must now wait until the Capital One Cup for his next chance. 6Gaston Ramirez (for Hernandez 78) The on-loan playmaker will crave an extended stage to weave his magic. 6 Not used: Harper, Rosenior, Chester, Meyler
