Wakefield Wildcats v Hull KR: 'Table doesn't lie, we've not been good enough' – Chris Chester

Hull KR coach Chris Chester admits the table doesn't lie and his side deserve to be outside the top eight.

Rovers could finish one spot above the drop zone if they lose at Wakefield tomorrow, or ninth if they win.

"We could finish 12th, but that is not good enough for a club like this," he told the Mail.

"The table doesn't lie. We started the season slowly and finished slowly.

"We took just one point from the first six games and we've only won two and drawn one of our last seven. We have to make sure we finish on a high with a win.

"I understand the fans wanting to finish above Hull. It would be nice to be in the play-offs and above Hull, but it's a little less important when we're both out of the play-offs."

Chester hopes his side take tomorrow's season finale at Wakefield seriously.

"We've done our homework and hopefully our plan falls into place," Chester said. "These games are generally a points fest, but I'd be disappointed if it was."
