RICHARD Horne got the finale he'd longed for as the Hull FC stand-off signed off his career with one last victory. Hull came from behind with four unanswered tries to beat Leeds Rhinos 24-19 at the KC Stadium. FC opened the scoring after Tom Lineham was put over by young centre Jack Logan, but opportunities to add to their total in the first half were in short supply. The best chance came for the retiring Horne, who broke the Rhinos defence and raced 80 metres before being hauled down by Carl Ablett with the try line begging. Rubbing salt in the wounds, it was Ablett who levelled the scores three minutes from the break. Kevin Sinfield added the extras and then in the last second of the half sent a drop-goal over to increase Leeds' advantage.
Without being outplayed in a poor game, Hull were behind and needing a good start to the second half. What they got was the opposite as Danny McGuire finished Kallum Watkins' break to push the Rhinos further ahead. When Ryan Hall powered his way over in the corner for a converted try the writing looked on the wall for Hull, but a glimmer of hope did present itself thanks to a Gareth Ellis try with 20 minutes remaining. When the captain powered forward again and put Fetuli Talanoa over for FC's third try the hosts were growing in stature and belief. Now dominant, Hull came forward with ease and without the errors blighting their play, they took advantage with another score, this time for teenage centre Jack Logan. Jordan Rankin's first conversion of the night brought hull to within a point, but there was more drama to follow with Logan popping up for his second to seal victory for Horne and Hull.
