Police have named the 19-year-old who died in a crash on the M62 on Wednesday as Adam Young, from Blacktoft, East Yorkshire.
Mr Young was a passenger in a red Peugeot 206 when the car hit the central reservation shortly before 11pm.
The driver, a 19-year-old woman from the Brough area, broke her right arm.
The crash happened on the westbound carriageway close to North Cave as the pair were travelling towards Goole.
The motorway was closed until shortly after 5am. Any witnesses are urged to call police on 101.
