North Ferriby United: 'Confidence still high despite three defeats'

North Ferriby United boss Billy Heath says confidence hasn't dipped despite the Villagers suffering three consecutive defeats in the Conference North.

Ferriby travel to North Wales to face Colwyn Bay tomorrow in hope of reversing their current trend and a concerning goal-shy characteristic.

The Villagers currently lie sixth in the league having won four, drawn one and lost the last three fixtures.

Meanwhile, Colwyn Bay sit one point behind Heath's side, winning three, drawing two and losing three and are ninth, a point head of Ferriby.

Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at high-flying Chorley has not caused panic amongst the Ferriby dressing room, and Heath is remaining upbeat as the season enters its ninth game.

"It was a good performance and we created plenty of chances," Heath said.

"We are not having the best of luck in front of goal but we can take confidence from the performance.

"Another plus is that we came through the game without any injuries."

Colwyn Bay will prove a tough challenge at Llanelian Road, but it is a ground where Ferriby have gained some success in the past.

There is little doubt that the Ferriby players will be up for the game and they're keen to show that the recent results are just a blip.

Results fortunately have been kind elsewhere to Ferriby, which has seen them remain in a strong position in the Conference North.

Danny Emerton remains doubtful due to injury but Adam Bolder returns to the squad following a three match suspension.

Ferriby squad from: Adam Nicklin, Antoni Pecora, Josh Wilde, Nathan Peat, Danny Hone Matt Wilson, Gregg Anderson, Mark Gray, Adam Bolder, Liam King, Jon D'Laryea, Russell Fry, Nathan Jarman, Tom Denton, Tom Corner, Jamie Yates, Dan Clayton, Louis Bruce.
