HULL City's new record signing Abel Hernandez needed just six minutes to make his mark as Uruguay beat Japan 2-0 in a friendly this lunchtime.
Hernandez, who joined the Tigers in a £10m deal from Palermo on Monday, emerged off the bench as a second-half substitute in Sapporo and netted a close range finish when profiting on slack defending in the 71st minute.
It was the 24-year-old's eighth goal for Uruguay in only his 15th appearance and doubled a lead given by Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani during the first half.
