Man, 28, arrested following Goole crime spree

A MAN is alleged to have caused chaos in Goole town centre when he drove his motorbike straight at a police community support officer and damaged a number of other vehicles. Police were called to reports of a man causing damage at a property on Manuel Street in the town at 11.46am on Thursday. The man is then believed to have got on his motorbike and driven to the town centre where he is alleged to have kicked a number of parked vehicles and shouted abuse at shoppers. He is then alleged to have driven his bike straight at the PCSO, who managed to get out of the way just in time. Police attended and arrested a 28-year-old man for a number of offences including criminal damage, assault on the police, affray and dangerous driving. A police spokesman said: "The man was detained at 12.13pm after he fell from the motorcycle on the corner of Pasture Street. "The man then allegedly assaulted two police officers who were arresting him. "The 28-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, assault on the police, affray and dangerous driving. "He remains in police custody."
