Police have launched an appeal after a man suffered serious head injuries when he was punched in the face by a cyclist in east Hull.
The man, 29, began speaking to two male cyclists in Preston Road, near the junction with Southcoates Avenue, at around 10.10pm on August 7.
One of the men then punched him, knocking him to the ground. The same man then assaulted him while he was on the floor.
The victim suffered serious head injuries and was treated at Hull Royal Infirmary, but has since been discharged.
Police now want to hear from any witnesses, particularly a woman who joined the group shortly before the assault.
