THE saying goes that actions speak louder than words.
And in the case of Tony Larvin, that needs to be the case at Hull KR.
Larvin's identity as the mystery man looking to takeover the Robins was first revealed last month.
Unmasked after weeks of speculation, he hasn't hidden – and hasn't wanted to.
His Twitter account – from which he has promised a 'Robins revolution' since mid-December – is testimony to that.
Hull KR have today confirmed they are in talks with Larvin over a potential 'substantial investment'.
Meanwhile, Larvin has told the Mail a deal is all but done. It's a case of finalising the last few details.
Then, a first investment of £5m will hit Rovers' bank.
Fans of the Robins can only hope he is as good as his word – and that he quickly proves many derogatory words written about him on Internet forums wrong.
His reputation – and the potential damage of links to a collapsed investment company in Spain – was something Larvin was keen to address the first time he spoke to the Mail.
And he says he is happy to meet with KR supporters to address any concerns they may have, and convince them of his good intentions and character.
"I hope fans will quickly see I am doing this for the right reasons, it is to give the fans of Hull KR the club, and team, they deserve and want," he told the Mail.
"I will meet the fans and as soon as is possible I will have a question and answer session down at the club.
"I think I am approachable. I am a Hull lad at the end of the day. My dad was a docker for 45 years and my mum was a dinner lady.
"I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I have got to where I have got to through a lot of hard work, personal sacrifice and heartache, but at the end of the day it has been worth it."

Down to earth and straight talking, Larvin insists you get what you see.
He says he's done the mansions and the sports cars, and is now after a more simple life.
Despite recent reports claiming he is buying the £3m Bentley Hall in Yorkshire, he is actually looking to move back to his home city, and was yesterday viewing a number of potential new homes.
"I am not all-singing all dancing. You won't catch me landing in the middle of the pitch in my helicopter, I don't have one," he adds.
"I am just going to be in the background really. We have big plans for 2014, we have ideas for dropping season ticket prices and making them more affordable.
"If we never make a profit I am not bothered. It is about getting the club where it belongs and that is winning league titles and cups.
"If people don't take to me, I can't do anything about it. At the end of the day, you can spend all your life trying to get people to like you, but the number of people who come to your funeral will always depend on the weather, and that is how I look at life."
